No cut my tinger off!
Addison has been weezing for a couple of days. Her weezing was getting worse and her temperature was getting higher. Josh made a call to the Dr. and scheduled an appt. with the on call Dr. last night. I have never had good luck with the on-call doctors or convenient care. But, we were optimistic! After the on-call Dr. walked in (imagine a 60 yr. old man, wearing tan skinny jeans, a tan button up shirt and looney tunes tie) my optimism started to shrink. Being concerned about her wheezing, he sent us over for a chest x-ray. Then, after x-ray, a potty stop, and a few waiting periods we were back in the original room to get the results. Chest x-ray of lungs was clear! He/we decided that putting Addison on neb treatments would be the best option! At this point, this Dr. had done more for me than any Dr. since Addison was born! Who was I to judge the on-call clinic, or skinny jeans for that matter. So, overall the night was a good one and they gave Addison a breathing treatment before we left the Dr. office. It helped immediately, and made us all feel a little better!
While waiting for the Doc to come in and check Addison's breathing after her treatment, Addison and I had this conversation:
(Addison is sitting on my lap with her finger in her nose.)
Me: Addison please get your finger out of your nose, that is yucky.
Addison: No! (While she sits and continues to pick her nose.)
Me: Ok, well that Doctor is going to come in and cut your finger off if you don't stop picking your nose.
Addison: No! (As she snuggles in and hides her hands in my chest!)
Then the Doc comes into the room.
Addison: "No, cut my tinger off!, no cut my tinger off!"
Doctor: What honey?
Me: I told her you would be cutting her finger off if she kept putting it in her nose.
Doctor: Honey, you will have plenty of fingers left when you leave here to put in your nose!

Happy Holidays!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We traveled South early Christmas Eve morning. Opened presents with my parents and my sister. Then picked up and went to my grandparents and then back to Mom and Dad's for Mom's side of the family. Addison was so happy to see everyone. It amazes me how she loves each and every one of them. She is so lucky to have so many grandparents and great-grandparents who all spoil her with gifts. I just love when she gets to spend time with them.
Josh and Addison were both so sick and stuffed up that nobody really slept Christmas night. Dad and Mom cooked us a nice breakfast and we headed home to find that we had gotten about 6 inches of snow on top of what we already had. We arrived home to open gifts from Santa. Addison received and new water table for this summer and a Cookie Monster. She loves everything to do with Sesame Street! Addison also helped Haus open his huge present which was a new bed. Josh took his new bed and put it in the kennel in the garage. The dog has not left his new bed since he got it. I can't believe how much he likes it. LOL! After presents Addison and I took a really long nap. We woke up rested and Lane and Natalie came over to play with Addison that evening along with Josh's brother, his wife and a few of our other friends. I would love to spend every Christmas at home. It was a great day!
I hope everyone has a safe New Year's! I plan on posting a 2010 review soon!

Happy B-day Aunt Tammy!
Today is my Aunt Tammy's b-day. I want to wish her a Happy B-day and show her a video of Addison playing in her pool that Tammy brought her when they were here visiting a couple of months ago. Also a Happy B-day video from the bath tub. Enjoy!

Here are a few pictures to update everyone on what we have been doing. I am now spending my Fridays off with Addison. Swimming, play dates, shopping, whatever we can find to do. She loves to go places. It doesn't matter where, she just loves to go. Josh made a comment the other day about me not cleaning anymore. LOL! Most of you know that I always run a pretty neat house. Well since summer has arrived, my house is still pretty clean, but not like it use to be. I have a hard time cleaning on Fri. when I know that I can just spend that time with Addison. So, that is exactly what I have been doing and these pics show you a few places that we have been.

Trip to see Great Gma Schulze!
I only wish we could do it more often. We were only gone for 4 days, but the weather was around 65-70. I was nice to get away from the 0 degree weather in Illinois.

Car accident!
So, I was sitting in my car getting money out of the ATM this morning. I felt like my car was moving. The ATM was getting closer to me. I felt like I was moving sideways. I kept pressing the break and then realized that the ATM machine was moving toward me and not stopping. OMG! It was smashing my mirror into the side of my car and I couldn't drive forward or backwards because I would side swipe the ATM and about that time this maintenance man pops out of the door and I said "You just hit my car. He said "Well didn't you see it moving", and was yelling at me.
I never knew that an ATM machine moves forward when they are doing maintenance on it. I also thought that maybe they would have put a cone in the lane or a sign saying "Maintenance." Out of order or something. Or maybe he should have looked before he started moving the machine into the lane. So, I pulled forward and checked my car out. The mirror had a mark across it. He stopped it just at the right moment. I was in shock that my car just got hit by an ATM. He was a total jerk. He told me to wait. I pulled around and went into the lobby to get my cash. When I got back to my car he asked for my insurance card. He grabbed it and took off. He brought it back and said, "our phone number is xxxxxxxxxx call if you need something" and walked off. What a jerk! I couldn't believe that he was so mean about it. I should have said something back, but I was still in shock with a few tears running down my face because this jerk was acting like it was my fault.
Josh called the company, the jerk's boss said that they are required to put a cone or sign in the lane before maintenance. He was also disappointed that he was so rude to me. I am just thankful that my car wasn't damaged any more than that. I feel bad for the guy. I am sure he will get in trouble, but there wouldn't have been a problem if he wasn't such a jerk. Maybe he will learn his lesson.
